A semi integrated Suntour STL battery is mounted onto the Crossfire E’s frame, weight is balanced against the rear mounted hub motor providing an improved ride quality, over those with rear-mounted batteries. With a large battery capacity of 417Wh / 11.58Ah and a range of up to 60 miles per charge the Crossfire is very capable of going the distance. As standard on all Carrera E-bikes, the Crossfire comes with an integrated smart control system that protects the battery from overheating, short circuiting or overcharging. The battery re-charges in just 6 hours and comes with a full 2-year / 500 charge warranty. The Carrera Crossfire E is built around a fantastic Suntour Performance 36V rear hub electric motor system, seamlessly integrated into the rear wheel and providing 60NM of torque. The power control in the system is delivered courtesy of a premium Torque sensor, which gradually eases the power in and out in response to your input, providing a natural ride characteristic and a real reason to upgrade from more basic speed sensor systems. The quality of the Torque sensor is notable when accelerating out of corners or when making tighter intricate manoeuvres. As required by law, the motor will automatically stop assisting you once you achieve a speed of 15.5mph.
